You are invited to gather with us at the Hearth, a sacred space of warmth, transformation, and possibility created with deep love for Black people. Join us for our Third Annual Winter Gathering, an intimate weekend devoted to healing, ancestral remembrance, and the power of community to help us reconnect with the light that lives within us.
In a world that can ask so much of us, it is easy to lose touch with the parts of ourselves that carry our hope, joy, and sense of possibility. Sometimes, we need a place to pause, breathe, and remember the fire within us has not gone out. It may simply need tending.
Rooted in the restorative energies of winter, Hearth of Healing invites us to gather around the warmth of collective care, Indigenous wisdom, sacred plant medicine, and the reflections we offer one another. Within an intentional, trauma-informed, all-Black container, we create space to lay down what we have been carrying, reconnect with our ancestral strength, and nurture the conditions for healing and renewal.
Facilitator Adorable Earth Angel brings over a decade of experience working within sacred plant medicine traditions, alongside ongoing learning with Indigenous elders and practitioners of South America, including the Shipibo-Konibo tradition. Her work honors the wisdom of Indigenous ceremonial practices while centering the richness, resilience, and healing of the Black experience.
With the guidance of Grandmother medicine, we invite you to come as you are and join us in this shared prayer. May this Hearth be a place where hope is rekindled, our spirits are nourished, and the warmth we cultivate together becomes a light we carry back into our lives and communities.
Come tend your flame. Come remember your light. Come gather at the Hearth.

We will provide you with all the information and resources you need to prepare for the ceremony, including what to expect, how to prepare yourself mentally and physically, and any other necessary information.

Two transformative nights of healing rooted in the Shipibo technology of prayer—Kushon, the Strong Prayer. These ceremonies will guide you through deep clearing, dressing in light, and aligning your energies for balance and renewal. These ceremonies will feature Amazonian medicines, sacred rituals, singing, dancing, and supportive musicianship.

Black Condor circles are a unique and transformative aspect of our retreats. Here, we come together to open and activate our prayers, create space for mind and body practices, and perform rituals to honor the land and our ancestors.

A post-ceremony group space where participants can reflect, share insights, and process their experiences together.

Rapeh (Hapé) is a sacred snuff medicine used throughout the Amazon by Indigenous peoples as a tool for grounding, clearing, and deepening spiritual connection.

Alongside the divine medicines used, we will also be offering other complementary ceremonial plant medicines: Flower Baths, and Sananga.

Nestled on 280 forested acres in South Lake County, just north of Napa Valley, the retreat center provides a serene and secluded environment for our healing journey. The lodge, cabins, swimming pool, and trails offer simple comfort and seclusion amidst nature's embrace.
Accommodation options include cabins with 31 twin and full-sized beds in single and double rooms, along with limited space for camping. The facilities also feature several meeting areas, a pool, library, art studio, meditation building, and hiking trails that wind through 280 acres of pine and oak forest, providing ample opportunities for relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation.

Food is an essential part of the healing process, especially when working with sacred plant medicine. For this retreat, we will be providing our signature hearty, nourishing dinner soups as always, along with a grounding breakfast each morning. In the spirit of community care and shared abundance, we invite participants to contribute to a potluck-style lunch, bringing one or two vegan items for everyone to enjoy.
We’ll share a suggested list of offerings to help guide the potluck, though participants are welcome to bring any vegan dish that feels aligned. As always, our meals are crafted to support the body’s healing and detoxification process, healthy, nourishing, and free of animal products and gluten.
We also check in about dietary needs and will do our best to accommodate individual sensitivities so that everyone is nourished throughout the weekend.

For those seeking deeper support before or after ceremony, we offer 60-minute private integration sessions with Adorable Earth Angel. These sessions provide a grounded, compassionate, and spacious container to help you prepare for your healing work and process your experience afterward. Integration support can include energy alignment, emotional processing, intention clarity, guidance on navigating the medicine path, and personalized tools for sustaining your transformation.

We’re excited to host two community info calls for both new and returning participants who feel called to connect with our work. These gatherings are a gentle entry point into the Black Condor prayer, a space to learn about our lineage, our approach to ceremony, and details about our upcoming Hearth of Healing Winter Retreat.
Whether you’re preparing to meet the medicine for the first time or returning for a deeper layer of your journey, these calls offer a supportive space to ask questions, feel into the container, and connect with the community before stepping into ceremony.

On your retreat application, indicate your desire to reserve a bed for the weekend, add your name (and your bed mate’s name) to the housing spreadsheet, and then submit your payment to complete the reservation.
Bed reservations are offered at a small additional cost:
Because of the limited number of beds available, all double cabin beds must be shared in order to ensure we have enough space for everyone.
Free Dorm-style lodging is included as well, participants must bring their own bedding.
The retreat center is a 1 hour & 30 minute drive from Oakland International Airport. We encourage both Bay Area locals and out-of-town participants to carpool and will provide a carpool coordination spreadsheet.
For those flying in, we recommend arriving a day early (Thursday Jan 28th) due to the unpredictability of flights.
Refunds are available before January 1st, 2027, and will be issued minus a $25 processing fee.
After January 1st, refunds are only available if the retreat is fully booked and we are able to fill your spot from the waitlist.
If a refund is issued after this date, the $25 processing fee still applies, as it covers the administrative time required to process participant information.
